Where is the Suwon Starfield Library? The Suwon Starfield Library is located on the 4th floor of the Starfield Mall. It is the second Starfield Library in the world, with the first one located inside the COEX Mall in Seoul.

A New Iconic Library In South Korea
The Suwon Starfield Library is a cool venue for anyone enjoying architecture and books. Recent opening news attracted close to a million visitors during its first week. The library has since been viral on the internet for its incredible futuristic design.
The library offers free reading of books, magazines, and newspapers on the spot, all mainly in Korean. You can also buy books. A new book will come your way if available. The main attraction is finding a seat and reading at your heart’s content.
My experience in the new Starfield Library
My visit to the mall was memorable. I have never seen such a place. It feels new, contemporary, and futuristic in a good way. Moreover, it is indoors which adds options to the “what to do when it’s rainy and too cold outside” list!
Being outside of Seoul but still easily accessible, I believe it is one of the best locations for a shopping day. And, you can also decide to visit Suwon Fortress, my favorite picnic area.
The mall experience is as incredible as the library. It was delightful to see the food delicacies I always wanted to try, to be all reunited in one place and be closer to me! The place is well-designed with resting areas and enough eating areas for everyone.
Plus, you can find at the 5th floor a vinyl cafe where you can enjoy listening to music while looking at the magnificent Starfield Library. The place is called Vinyl Starfield Suwon (entry price 18,000 won with one coffee or tea included).

I call it the perfect date location. You can both jam while listening to the same music. And, there is no shame in South Korea, being all giggly on your couch!
Because the entry allows you to stay up to 6 hours, it gets easily full. Come early if you want to be guaranteed your entry.

Is the Suwon Starfield Mall too crowded? It isn’t as bad as the first day of opening. The mall itself has 7 floors and is larger than the one in Gangnam. It could be more crowded than usual around the event area. But this is at the opposite of the Starfield Library.
Comparison to the COEX Starfield Library
Is visiting both the COEX Starfield Library and the Suwon Starfield Library worth it? Both libraries are stunning! Visiting both libraries is worth it, but spending time shopping in both may not be worth your precious vacation time.
Which Starfield Library is better? The COEX Starfield Library is bigger compared to the Suwon Starfield Library. The image of rounded bookshelves with an escalator can only be seen in the COEX mall. But, there are more seatings and photography angles possible from the Suwon Starfield Library. Both libraries offer nice photo spots.
On the other hand, shops and restaurants inside the malls are very different. So, if you have to make a choice, it would be wise to look at the store listing!
